ʿĀLAMIYYAH

Introduction

This is a rigorous (Alim) clergy training program incorporating a methodical investigation into the various Islāmic sciences, under the tutelage of qualified instructors. It is a full/part-time ilm program for students who are attending high-school and university and for brothers who are working or taken time off. Subjects like Arabic Language, Arabic Grammar, Arabic Morphology, Rhetoric, Advance Tajweed, Advance Fiqh, Advance Seerah, Advance Aqeedah, Hadith, Tafsir, Principles of Fiqh, Principles of Hadith and Principles of Tafsir are taught.

Tafsīr (Qur’ānic Exegesis)Tafsīr comprises linguistic analysis and translation of the Qur’ān, explication of legal injunctions and derivations, as well transmission and analysis of narrative texts regarding the explanations of verses.
Hadīth (Prophetic Narrations)Hadīth studies elucidate the texts and meanings of narrations, the relevant legal derivations and the jurisdiction differences concerning them, as well as lessons in noble character.
Sīrah (Prophetic Biography)Acquaintance with the life and ideal example of the best of creation is imparted for the sake of deriving lessons pertaining to every aspect of human existence. Investigating the blessed Sīrah practically informs one how to connect with Allāh and guide others toward Him.
Aqīdah (Creed)In-depth understanding of the authentic creed of the Ahlus-Sunnah was-Jamā’ah is derived from agreed upon sources and texts. Comparative religion and ideology are addressed by extension.
Fiqh (Jurisprudence)The study of Fiqh will commence with the fundamentals of worship and progress towards financial dealings, marriage, divorce, animal sacrifice, inheritance, etc. With a primary focus on the deductions of the Hanafiyy school, the varying opinions within the school will be scrutinised and its principles and maxims applied thereafter. Comparative assessment of the other legal schools and solutions to contemporary issues are also addressed.
Usūlut-Tafsīr (Principles of Qur’ānic Exegesis)Background regarding the revelation, compilation, and preservation of the Qur’ān is investigated prior to the principles of exegesis. Sources of exegesis, methodologies, and works in Tafsīr are identified, categorised, and examined.
Usūlul-Hadīth (Principles of Hadīth)Lexical and terminological meanings of identified within the science of Hadīth, as well as technicalities concerning them. Incite is thereby gained regarding the principles by which authentic narrations are differentiated from those which are unsuitable to quote or act upon.
Usūlul-Fiqh (Principles of Jurisprudence/Hermeneutics)The principles through which legal verdicts are extrapolated are identified and evaluated regarding each of the four sources of the Sacred Law: Qur’ān, Sunnah, consensus, and analogy.

RhetoricThe art of conveying knowledge and guidance eloquently is practically gained through a regular training process, wherein students formally present speeches and receive critical feedback regarding their content and delivery.
